No. A lash lift is painless; you lie with your eyes closed while the lashes are set on a silicone rod, and most clients find it relaxing. When it’s done correctly with proper timing, it doesn’t weaken or thin the lashes. Our estheticians are trained on the products we use and follow the same protocol for every client, which is what keeps it safe.

Plan on about 45 minutes to an hour, a little longer if you add a tint. Your eyes are closed the whole time, so many clients treat it as a short nap. You can drive and go about your day right after; there’s no recovery.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes: no mascara, eyeliner, or oil-based products, since anything on the lashes can keep the solution from setting evenly. Remove contact lenses before the service. If you use a lash growth serum, skip it for 48 hours before your appointment.

Keep the lashes completely dry for 24 hours, which means no water, steam, sweat, showers on the face, or crying if you can help it. After that first day, avoid oil-based cleansers and makeup removers, waterproof mascara, and rubbing your eyes, since all of those relax the curl early. Starting 48 to 72 hours after your lift, we recommend Just The Strip lash oil, the one we use in the studio, to keep the lashes hydrated and soft. Brush them gently with a clean spoolie each morning.

You can after the first 24 hours, but most clients find they don’t need it, especially with a tint. If you do, use a regular, non-waterproof mascara and remove it with an oil-free cleanser. Waterproof formulas need oil to come off, and oil is what shortens the life of your lift.

Yes. Take your contacts out before the appointment and put them back in afterward. Bring your case and solution, or wear glasses to the studio. Your eyes stay closed during the service, so contacts are only a concern for the setup and removal steps.

Skip a lift if you have an active eye infection, stye, or conjunctivitis, if you’ve had eye surgery in the last few months, or if you have very short or sparse lashes that a rod can’t hold. We do not recommend a lash lift during pregnancy. If your doctor approves it after your first trimester, we can move forward, although we cannot guarantee results. If you’re unsure, ask when you book and we’ll tell you honestly.

Every six to eight weeks. Doing it sooner doesn’t give a stronger curl and can stress the lashes; waiting longer just means a few weeks of straight regrowth. Most of our regulars book their next lift before they leave so it lines up with their lash cycle.

If you have never had a lash lift, book it at least two weeks before your event, just in case any sensitivity or allergy shows up. If you have had a lash lift before, with us or another studio, we are happy to do it as close as the day of your event.
