Waxing in Denver’s Berkeley Neighborhood
Just off Tennyson Street at Lowell & 44th. Brazilian, bikini, body, brows, and lashes.
In the heart of Berkeley, just off Tennyson Street and minutes from Regis, Sunnyside, and West Highland. Our clients include nurses from the nearby hospitals, teachers from across 80212, and locals who’d rather be at Berkeley Lake Park than dealing with razors.
This isn’t a chain. It’s a tight-knit studio where technique, timing, and a calm room matter. Whether you’re coming from Arvada or rolling in from Wheat Ridge via Sheridan, clients keep crossing zip codes because this crew gets it.
Four treatment rooms, free parking in front and behind the building, and Billy’s Inn next door if you want to make a morning of it.
Meet the Team at Wax & Lash Berkeley
Wax & Lash was founded in 2013 by Tawnya Fornerod, a Denver esthetician with 25 years behind the table. She’d spent years refining her soft wax technique and kept running into the same thing at other studios — too impersonal, too rushed, too forgettable.
Berkeley isn’t where we started. We’ve moved a few times over the years, watching how the city changed and making some hard calls along the way. Road closures, parking that got worse every season, blocks that stopped being easy to get to. Every move came down to the same question: is this somewhere our clients will actually enjoy coming?
Berkeley is the answer we landed on. Just off Tennyson, four treatment rooms, free parking front and back, and a team that stays. Clients come in from Sunnyside, West Highland, Regis, Arvada, and Wheat Ridge.
Tawnya went on to create Just The Strip, an aftercare line now used by estheticians across the country. Every product we recommend here is one she made.
More than 1,900 reviews at 4.9 stars for this studio alone.

Wax & Lash Berkeley: Questions About Our Lowell Blvd Studio
If you’re planning a Brazilian wax in Denver and wondering what to expect, you’re not alone. From Regis to West Highland, our clients come with solid questions and we’re here for it. Below, we’ve answered a few of the most common things locals want to know before their first (or fifth) wax. For the full rundown, check out our Brazilian waxing page for a deeper look at how we do things.
Where is Wax & Lash in Berkeley, Denver?
We are at 4407 Lowell Blvd, Denver, CO 80211, on the corner of Lowell and W 44th Ave, a few blocks east of the Tennyson Street shops. If you are coming from Sunnyside or West Highland you are basically around the corner, and plenty of clients from Arvada and Wheat Ridge take Sheridan down and still show up early. We have been in the Berkeley neighborhood for about five years.
Is there parking at the Berkeley studio?
Yes, free parking in front of the building and behind it. There is also street parking on Lowell and 44th. You will not need to circle the block or pay a meter.
What are the hours at Wax & Lash Berkeley?
Tuesday through Thursday, 9am to 7pm, and Friday through Monday, 9am to 6pm. We are open seven days a week. The later Tuesday to Thursday hours are there for after-work appointments.
Do you take walk-ins at the Berkeley location?
Yes, when the schedule allows. Booking online guarantees your spot and your esthetician, but if you are on Tennyson and want to pop in, call ahead or stop by and we will fit you in if we can.
What services are offered at the Berkeley studio?
Everything on our menu: Brazilian, bikini, and body waxing, men’s waxing, brow waxing and lamination, brow and lash tinting, lash lifts, and dermaplaning. Pricing is the same at both of our Denver studios, and the same first-visit 50% off applies.
Which Denver neighborhoods is the Berkeley studio closest to?
Berkeley itself, plus Tennyson, Sunnyside, West Highland, Highlands, Regis, and Sloan’s Lake. We also see a lot of clients from Arvada and Wheat Ridge, since we are just a few minutes from both. If you are north or west of downtown, this is your studio.
Is Wax & Lash Berkeley close to downtown Denver?
Yes, about ten to fifteen minutes from Union Station or Ball Arena depending on traffic, a straight shot down Federal or Speer. Plenty of clients come from downtown offices on a lunch break or after work.
What is the difference between the Berkeley and Central Park studios?
Nothing in the services, pricing, or standards, since both are Wax & Lash, run by the same team with the same training. The only difference is location and hours. Berkeley is northwest Denver near Tennyson Street and is open seven days. Central Park is northeast near I-70 and Quebec and is closed Sundays. Book whichever is closer.
How do I book at the Berkeley studio?
Book online any time through the Book an Appointment button, or call 720-550-6673. When you book, choose the Berkeley location so you land at the right studio. First-time clients get 50% off their first single wax service.
Where is the best place to get a Brazilian wax in northwest Denver?
We are biased, but Wax & Lash Berkeley has been doing Brazilians on Lowell Blvd for about five years, and the business has been waxing in Denver since 2013. This studio alone has over 1,900 five star Google reviews. Brazilian waxing is our most requested service and the one we built our technique around, using soft wax and a low-pain method our whole team is trained on.
What is it like inside the Berkeley studio?
Four treatment rooms, bright and vibrant, with no front desk and no lobby full of people. You come in, make yourself comfortable, and your esthetician comes out to get you with something to drink. For any intimate service we step out of the room so you can undress privately, which not every studio does.
Is there anywhere good to go near the Berkeley studio before or after my appointment?
Plenty. We are next door to Billy’s Inn and across from The Ginger Pig, and the Tennyson Street Arts District is a few blocks west. A lot of clients make a morning of it, which is one reason this studio books out earlier than Central Park.
Can I get a waxing appointment on a lunch break in northwest Denver?
Yes. A bikini wax or brow wax runs about ten to fifteen minutes, parking is free and right out front, and there is no check-in line to wait through. If you are working downtown, Berkeley is a straight shot down Federal or Speer.
Is Wax & Lash Berkeley good for someone who has never been waxed?
Yes, and first timers are a big part of who we see. Your esthetician walks you through each step before it happens, and your first single wax is 50% off, which makes a first Brazilian $32.50. We wax people of all genders, sizes, ages, and backgrounds, and if you have had a bad experience elsewhere, that is a common reason people find us.
Which waxing studio in Denver has the best reviews?
Our Berkeley studio has over 1,900 five star Google reviews, and across both Denver locations Wax & Lash is over 2,000. We have been open since 2013, which is longer than most waxing studios in the city.
When to Book Your Wax at Wax & Lash Berkeley
Waxing in Berkeley follows the seasons.
March is spring break — Glenwood Springs, or somewhere warm out of DIA. Brazilians and underarms spike fast, and appointments go quickly.
May brings leg waxes ahead of Memorial Day hikes at Red Rocks and photo sessions at Berkeley Lake Park.
Summer fills up. Sloan’s Lake, Coors Field, patio weather. Early weekday mornings are your best bet — you’ll also miss the traffic on Sheridan and I-70.
Winter stays busy with regulars. Nurses and teachers especially keep their four-to-six-week schedule year-round, which is what makes waxing get easier over time.
Book two to three weeks ahead in spring and summer. Not sure which service fits? Our guide to bikini vs. Brazilian waxing breaks it down.
