We have been waxing men in Denver since 2013, so nothing about this is unfamiliar territory for us. Backs, chests, shoulders, brows, nose, ears, and necks are routine work here, and nobody on our team is going to make it a thing.
Soft wax, a low-pain technique the whole team is trained on, and private rooms with the door closed. Most men are in and out inside half an hour and come back every four to six weeks.

Aftercare: the part that actually matters
Smooth Operator Ingrown Hair Serum
We use Just The Strip products in both Denver studios, and for back, chest, and neck waxing this is not optional. Those areas sit under shirts, catch sweat, and have coarser hair than most, which is exactly what produces ingrown hairs and irritation when nothing is done about it.
Smooth Operator by Just The Strip treats and prevents the ingrown hairs and bumps that follow waxing, tweezing, shaving, laser hair removal, and electrolysis. Start 48 hours after your wax and use it daily, which is what keeps a back or chest clear between appointments. Used consistently it also helps lighten the dark spots that repeated ingrowns leave behind. It comes as a roll-on or as pads, and it is what we use in both studios.

Everything men ask us before a first wax, and a few things they wish they had asked. We have been doing this in Denver since 2013, so there is no question here we have not answered a hundred times.
How much does men's waxing cost in Denver at Wax & Lash?
A full back wax is $60, a half back is $40, a lower back is $20, and full legs are $85. Men’s eyebrows are $25, and nose, ear, and neck waxing are $15 each. Chest and stomach waxing are quoted at your appointment depending on coverage. Pricing is the same at our Berkeley and Central Park studios.
Do men get the 50% off first wax discount?
Yes. First-time clients get 50% off their most expensive single wax service, and that applies to men’s waxing the same as anything else on our menu. Full back waxes and full legs are excluded. A first men’s brow wax comes to $12.50, and a half back comes to $20.
Do men actually get waxed?
Constantly, and men are a steady part of who we see every week. Backs, chests, shoulders, brows, nose, ears, and necks are all routine here. Nobody on our team is going to make it a thing, because it is simply part of the work we have been doing in Denver since 2013.
Does a back wax hurt?
Less than most men expect, and the first one is the most noticeable. We use soft wax and work in sections, so each pull is quick and the sting is short. By the second or third appointment the hair is finer and it goes faster, which is true of every area we wax.
How long does a back wax take?
About thirty minutes for a full back, and less for a half or lower back. You lie face down on the table, and your esthetician works in sections and checks in as she goes. Most men book it on a lunch break or on the way home from work.
How long does my hair need to be for a back or chest wax?
About three to four weeks of growth, roughly the length of a grain of rice. Do not shave or trim in the week before your appointment, since the wax needs something to grip. If it is longer than that, leave it and we will handle it in the room.
Do you wax men's eyebrows?
Yes, and it is one of our most requested men’s services at $25. We shape rather than thin, so the result reads as tidy rather than obviously done. Most men come in for a cleanup between the brows and along the outer edge, and we keep the natural shape.
Do you do nose, ear, and neck waxing for men?
Yes, all three at $15 each, and they take only a few minutes. Nose and ear waxing catch the hair trimmers leave behind, and a neck wax cleans up the line your barber cannot reach between cuts. Plenty of men add one or all three onto another service.
Do you offer Brazilian waxing for men?
No, we do not offer men’s Brazilians or manzilians at either Denver studio. We do wax men’s backs, chests, stomachs, shoulders, brows, nose, ears, and necks. If you are looking for intimate men’s waxing, we would rather tell you upfront than have you book and find out.
What should I do before a men's waxing appointment?
Shower beforehand and skip lotion or oil on the area that day. Let the hair grow for three to four weeks and do not trim it yourself. Avoid heavy sun or tanning on the area the day before, and if you are sensitive, an over-the-counter pain reliever thirty to forty five minutes ahead is fine.
What should I avoid after a back or chest wax?
Skip the gym, hot tubs, saunas, and direct sun for twenty four hours, since heat and sweat on freshly waxed skin cause irritation. Wear a loose shirt for the rest of the day. Some redness is normal and usually clears within a few hours.
How important is aftercare for men after a back, chest, or neck wax?
Exfoliate gently starting 48 hours after your wax, two or three times a week, and use Smooth Operator by Just The Strip daily. We use it in both studios, and men who stay on it have noticeably fewer problems than men who skip it.
How do I prevent ingrown hairs after waxing?
Exfoliate gently two or three times a week starting 48 hours after your wax, and use Smooth Operator by Just The Strip daily. Skipping the razor between visits also makes a real difference.
