Wax & Lash has been open for almost 13 years, and Brazilians are what our clients know us for, so we have built a hands on soft wax class to share what we have learned with Denver waxers who are ready to grow.

Did you finish esthetics school and find that you didn’t learn the waxing skills you had hoped for, especially Brazilian waxing or speed waxing? You are not alone. Many of the new estheticians who come to us were never given the chance to practice Brazilians in school, and it is one of the most valuable skills a waxer can have. We would love to help our local Denver waxers and estheticians learn a skill set they can carry with them, one that might help them land the job they have been hoping for.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Everything That Goes Into a Great Brazilian
Our training follows the same soft wax method every Wax & Lash esthetician is trained in, and it covers the whole visit from the moment your client walks in to the moment they rebook.
- Reading the consultation form and spotting contraindications before you begin
- Setting up your room so everything you need is within reach
- Making your client feel comfortable, from changing in private to the cover on the treatment table and the hot towel
- Positioning and body mechanics that keep your client at ease and protect your own back and hands
- Applying and removing soft wax in the right direction, section by section, with skin held taut for comfort
- Working cleanly and quickly so a Brazilian takes about 15 to 20 minutes
- Tweezing, finishing and calming the skin after the wax
- Pre and post wax care, ingrown hair prevention and how to talk with clients about it
- Rebooking on a steady four week rhythm and building a loyal client book
- Using every Wax & Lash and Just The Strip product the way our team does

Everything You Need, Ready When You Arrive
We take care of the details so you can focus on learning. Every class includes a fully set up treatment room at our Berkeley studio, our custom soft wax made by our sister company Just The Strip, every supply you will use during class, and Just The Strip pre and post wax care for your clients. You will learn how to use every one of our products, and you will go home with Just The Strip products of your own.
You are welcome to bring your own clients, and we can also help provide clients for your training day, so you will never have to worry about finding someone to practice on.
WHO CAN JOIN
Licensed Estheticians Ready to Grow
Our training is for estheticians who carry an active Colorado esthetician or cosmetology license, whether you graduated last month or have been doing brows and facials for years and want to add Brazilians with confidence. You will also need to carry your own insurance, so you are insured and able to work on clients. Before your class, we will ask for your license number and a little about your experience so we can make the day fit you.
This is a mentorship class, a chance to learn and hone your skills right beside us and see how Wax & Lash has become so proficient at waxing and training. We do not offer a certificate or any kind of educational credit or benefit. Think of it as an investment in yourself, one that can help you become the waxer other studios want to hire.

Brazilian Wax Training FAQs
Do I need an esthetics license to take your Brazilian wax training?
Yes, you need an active Colorado esthetician or cosmetology license and your own insurance to join our Brazilian wax training, so you are insured and able to work on clients. We will ask for your license number when you sign up so we can confirm it before your class.
Will I get a certificate for completing the training?
No, our Brazilian wax training is a mentorship class rather than a certification program, so we do not offer a certificate or any kind of educational credit or benefit. It is a chance to learn and hone your skills with us and to invest in yourself so you can become hireable at waxing studios.
Will I wax real clients during the class?
Yes, every class is hands on with real clients, and an instructor stays beside you the whole time. On our full day, Brazilians are booked at upwards of 2 to 3 an hour, so you spend the day waxing rather than watching. You are welcome to bring your own clients, and we can also help provide clients for your training day.
What kind of wax do you teach with?
We teach with our custom soft wax made by our sister company Just The Strip, the same wax we use across our studios. You will learn the soft wax method every Wax & Lash esthetician is trained in.
How much does Brazilian wax training cost?
Our half day Brazilian wax training is $1,600 and our full day training is $2,200. Every class includes your treatment room, wax, supplies and pre and post wax care.
