Wax & Lash Policies – FAQ About Denver Body Waxing Appointments
Know Before You Go — Our Policies, Your Peace of Mind
We love making your waxing experience smooth—before, during, and after. That includes being super clear about how our policies work so there are no surprises. If you’re booking a Denver body waxing appointment with Wax & Lash, here’s what you need to know:
Do you charge a fee for no-shows or last-minute cancellations?
Yes. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance—or no-shows—will be charged the full amount of the service booked. We respect your time and ours, and this policy helps keep things running fairly for everyone.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallet payments. No cash, please—we like to keep it simple and secure.
How long should my hair be before booking an appointment?
For body waxing to be effective, hair should be at least ¼ inch long—about the size of a grain of rice. Too short, and the wax can’t grip. Too long? No worries—we’ll trim if needed.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that all changes or cancellations be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations within that window will result in a full-service charge. It’s all about respect—for your time and ours.
Waxing FAQ
What is the difference between a bikini, French, and Brazilian wax?
The difference between a Brazilian, bikini and French bikini wax is simple. A Brazilian wax includes complete hair removal from front to back and if you would like you can keep a small patch in the front. A bikini wax removes the hair just outside the panty line and a French bikini wax removes all hair but leaves a thin strip down the middle.
Each of our top & highly trained estheticians receives extensive training that enables him/her to complete a Brazilian wax in approximately 15 to 30 minutes with minimal pain. Additionally, there is absolutely no “double-dipping” of wax sticks, common safety and health concerns associated with waxing. In addition to the Brazilian wax, Wax & Lash also offers a full menu of waxing services for men and women. Browse our waxing services.
How long does my hair have to be for a clean wax?
Your hair needs to be at least ¼” to ½” for a nice clean wax. For most people, this means waiting 2-4 weeks (minimum of 2 weeks) from the last time you shaved. The longer you wait, the better the wax will be.
How long will my wax last?
A wax will typically last for a minimum of 3 weeks if you allow your hair to grow out to the proper length prior to waxing.
What if I’m on medication?
If you are on any medication like Accutane, Retin-A, Differin, etc., they can increase the rate at which your skin exfoliates meaning that waxing could potentially remove the skin in addition to hair. Please let your esthetician know immediately if you are on any medications.
What are ingrown hairs and how do I prevent them?
Ingrown hairs are thin hairs that cannot push through the skin. The best way to prevent this is to exfoliate 4 to 5 times per week. Speak with your licensed esthetician for retail options.

Lashes FAQ
Since the dye is permanent, eyelash tinting can last anywhere between 3 to 5 weeks depending on the person. The tint won’t fade, but as your eyelashes naturally fall out, your tinted lashes will be replaced with new ones.

Eyebrows FAQ
Eyebrow lamination typically lasts between 4 to 6 weeks but can last up to 8 weeks depending on how well your eyebrows are taken care of.
Do laminating eyebrows hurt?
Eyebrow lamination is a completely pain-free treatment, making it a great alternative to microblading. However, if you have a skin condition, such as severe acne, we recommend talking to your dermatologist first.
Do you wax eyebrows before laminating?
Your esthetician will discuss this with you and then decide whether your eyebrows will be waxed before lamination or not.

Waxing Aftercare
Aftercare can usually start the day of the waxing or the day after. If you are VERY sensitive, wait 2-3 days.
Aftercare should be done every day for the first 7-10 days followed by every other day until your next wax.
Wear loose clothing for a few hours. Don’t expose the skin to sun or tanning beds for a few days.
Always wash with a clean exfoliating glove.
Don’t take hot showers or baths for 24 hours. A warm shower or bath is fine.
Don’t swim in chlorinated pools, rivers, or dirty water for 24 hours.
Don’t exercise for 24 hours. This can cause perspiration which may irritate freshly waxed skin and cause a breakout. In fact, ANYTHING that causes perspiration (you know what we’re talking about), for the first 24 hours can cause a breakout.
Don’t apply scented creams/lotions, talc, etc.

Lash Lift Aftercare
This lash lift treatment is there to curl your natural lashes and keep them curled for up to 6-8 weeks.
The best way to enhance and compliment this procedure is to have your eyelashes tinted at the same time, thus creating more depth of color.
Maintain your full lash curl with a lash lift every 6-8 weeks.
How do I care for my lash lift?
Avoid rubbing your eyes.
Do not get the lashes wet or use any product on them for 24 hours after treatment.
Remove eye makeup gently with non-oily remover.
Gently brush your lashes daily with a lash brush.
We also advise that clients sleep on their backs to avoid any displacement of the lashes.

Waxing Myths — Fact vs. Fiction in Denver Body Waxing
Clearing Up the Confusion About Hair Removal
Another myth? That waxing is only for certain body types or genders. Not true. At Wax & Lash, we wax every body—no matter who you are or what you’re working with. And no, waxing won’t destroy your skin if you exfoliate properly and follow aftercare (which we help you with, of course).
Think you need to be hairless before your appointment? Wrong again. Hair needs to be about a quarter inch long for the wax to grip. Bottom line: skip the internet myths—come get the real deal from the experts.
When’s the Best Time to Wax? Timing Tips from Wax & Lash in Denver
Plan Your Denver Waxing Appointments Like a Pro
Planning a vacation, wedding, or photoshoot? Book your appointment at least 2–3 days beforehand to give your skin time to calm and glow. And if you’re new to waxing, consistency is key. Your first wax is the gateway to smoother, longer-lasting results—so commit to a schedule and stick with it!
One more tip: if you’re sensitive, try avoiding the days right before your period. Your skin can be more reactive, and hey—we’re here to make it easier, not harder.
Speed Waxing in Denver – Smooth Skin, No Time Wasted
Who says you need to sacrifice your whole afternoon to get flawless skin? At Wax & Lash in Denver, we’ve mastered the art of speed waxing—because your time is valuable, and so is your comfort. Our technique is all about working smarter, not messier. That means quick, efficient, and super thorough waxing without the drag.
Unlike traditional waxing that can take forever (and feel like it), our method is built on streamlined steps and practiced hands. Each esthetician is trained to move confidently and precisely, so you’re in and out fast—but still hair-free in all the right places. No lingering. No cutting corners.
And let’s talk comfort: quicker waxing means less time under the strip, which can also mean less discomfort overall. It’s the perfect combo of speed and quality. Because silky smooth doesn’t have to be slow.
